Several four-to-eight week "core" classes are offered throughout the year at Blackhawk. They've been designed to help each of us in our Journey toward Christ. They may supplement or lead to involvement in a Life Group (small group Bible study at Blackhawk). Times and locations vary to make it possible for many to attend. For more information about these classes, or to register for an upcoming one, contact the church office (828-4200).

Finding Your Niche (4 weeks)

Have you ever wondered where you fit in the scheme of things; what special task you were created to do? "Finding Your Niche" might be one step in the process of understanding why God made you the way He did. Each class builds upon the last. So to make the class most profitable for you, we ask that you sign up only if you are able to make the four week commitment.

Walk through any book store's "Religion" section or use any search engine- you will find all kinds of information about God. With so many sources, how can we really know what is important to believe and what is not? This class is designed to identify the bottom-line essentials of the Christian faith for all those who are investigating Christ, interested in growing deeper or who are looking to define their belief system more clearly.

How The Church Became The Church

Over 2,000 years of history, this body called "The Church" has evolved and changed. From one leader and one set of beliefs, the church grew in multiple directions with countless denominations and a wide range of doctrines. From the simplicity of early house meetings to the persecution which drove it underground to the politics and scandals that nearly tore it apart, how did the church become a church?
