BCM is especially for Chinese-speaking believers and seekers. We are committed to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping disciples. We want to build up the Chinese-speaking community at Blackhawk Church and reach out to the Madison Chinese community, including Chinese visiting scholars and students at UW-Madison. Please come join us! If you have any questions, please contact us.
In response to God who has brought Chinese Christ-followers and seekers to Blackhawk Church, we gather weekly in the Chinese Worship venue (11:15 am in the Gym at the Brader Way site). Our worship team leads us to praise God in a blend of contemporary Chinese worship songs and traditional hymns. Pastor Charles Huang preaches the sermon in Mandarin; the sermon is thematically coordinated with the English sermons preached live in the Eastside venue. For transportation from the UW campus on Sundays, check this Bus Schedule.
Weekly Friday Fellowship
We meet weekly for worship, Bible study and discussion. There are Mandarin-speaking Life Groups as well as two Bible study groups for people who are new to studying the Bible: one in Mandarin and one in English. And of course, we also share some food afterwards. Childcare is provided too. These meetings are generally on Friday nights from 7:30 pm, downstairs in the Underground at Blackhawk’s Brader Way location. Check this calendar for specific dates and times. Moreover, free transportation service is available for your convenience; please register here.
Asian American Student Ministry Register online
Fridays, 7:30-9:30 pm
The Asian-American Student Ministry (AASM) serves primarily Asian-American middle school and high students. We intentionally create a culture-specific space to allow students to explore their identity through talking about common values and struggles, as well as providing predominantly Asian-American leaders to model for them what it means to embrace the ethnicity God has given them.
We meet on Friday nights from 7:30-9:30 pm in a local home. A typical night at AASM includes games, worship, teaching, small group discussion and then snacks. AASM provides a different curriculum than Middle School Ministry so that students can choose to attend both.
There are two fellowships for women: one meets biweekly on Wednesday morning at church, another one meets monthly on Saturday evening at the home of one of our sisters. We meet for bible study, sharing, praying and potluck. Through this gathering, we want to know more, encourage and support each other in our spiritual growth, and strengthen our faith in Christ. Check this calendar for specific times and places.
Ping Pong Club
We meet on every Saturday morning from 8 to 10:30 am in the church. Everyone who is interested in ping-pong is welcome to join us. Check this calendar for specific dates.
