BETTER LOVE GROUPS
For couples who prefer a life group experience. – online!
Better Love Life Groups are short-term groups that meet online for 6 weeks and are comprised of 5-7 multi-generational married couples. Each couple that participates in a Better Love Life Group takes the Better Love individualized online assessment and receives a personalized report that provides insight into their money methods, fight types, love life, personalities and talk styles, as well as ideas for deeper connection. Couples also receive an action plan to facilitate conversation and implement new learnings on their own. Within their online group, couples will watch a video teaching and unpack the new insights they’ve gained through the assessment and action plan. Participants grow in their knowledge of themselves and their spouse and form new friendships with other couples. The Better Love assessment costs $35 per couple. Please contact us for scholarship information.
Online groups start mid-April.

Some couples might prefer the option of taking the Better Love assessment on their own without joining a group. We can help with that! Please contact us for information.
LIFE GROUPS FOR RECENTLY MARRIED COUPLES
Each fall, Blackhawk starts a number of Life Groups designed specifically for couples in their first few years of marriage. These groups go through a 12-session marriage curriculum that gives couples the tools they need to successfully navigate the complexities of marriage. To learn more or to sign up, contact us.
For couples who prefer working with a certified facilitator.
SYMBIS+ is a faith-based assessment tool for couples who are looking to address more challenging topics within their marriage. It gives then a personalized roadmap for repairing a healthy connection by exploring their unique personalities, marriage mindsets, communication styles, money methods, conflict dynamics, and spiritual life practices. SYMBIS+ shows a married couple where they stand strongest together and where they might stand apart in order for them to develop more harmony within their relationship. Through conversation with a certified facilitator, couples can identify next steps that are specific to their relationship and increase connectivity, communication, passion, and teamwork. The cost of the SYMBIS+ assessment and 90-minute appointment with a certified facilitator is $105. Please complete the SYMBIS+ request form to get started.
It’s a myth that counseling is only for marriages in trouble. All marriages can benefit from proactive and reparative work with a skilled Christian counselor. Couples benefit from learning healthier patterns of interaction, developing deeper intimacy, and sharpening their communication and conflict-resolution skills. If you think your marriage would benefit from seeing a counselor, check out Blackhawk’s Care Resources.
