Memorial Day
May 27 will be the last Sunday for your Fifth Grader in Elementary Ministries. Starting Sunday, June 3, they will attend services with you upstairs. You will be receiving information soon regarding Summer 56, a program to familiarize graduating Fifth Graders to the Middle School Ministries.
Communion Guide
At Blackhawk Church, we welcome anyone who is a Christ-follower to participate in communion. That includes children if they have placed their faith in Christ for their salvation. We trust parents to decide when is the most appropriate time for their child to start taking communion. However, we would like to partner with you to help your family prepare for this important step in your child’s spiritual journey! Pick up a Communion Guide in your student’s room or click here to download and print.

Eat This Book for Elementary Kids!
The goal of the Eat This Book Challenge is for our community to develop a habit of reading our Bibles. The Bible can be challenging for adults to navigate, so it may feel downright intimidating to lead kids through this book. While it might be unrealistic for elementary-aged kids to read chapters of the Old Testament daily, each month we will be offering a kids’ version of the Reading Plan. We encourage you to help your child be part of the church-wide challenge to Eat this Book!

Safety and Security Measures
- All staff and volunteers are extensively screened and trained
- Appropriate child/adult ratios in each classroom
- Sick children NOT allowed in the classrooms
- The computerized Check-In system prints a name tag for your child that coordinates with a claim tag for the parent. This system allows parents to be reached should your child need you and protects your child from being picked up by someone else.
