LIFE GROUPS

At Blackhawk, we talk a lot about the spiritual journey. No matter where you are on that journey, we think it’s important to travel with others. That’s why we have Life Groups.

Tell me about Life Groups

  • Life Groups are small groups of people who meet in homes around Madison and the surrounding communities.
  • Here’s what you’ll find in a typical Life Group: other Blackhawkers (about 8-16 of them), conversation, food, fun, prayer and a chance to discuss and ask questions about the Bible.
  • Most groups discuss the weekly sermon using the study guide that’s provided in the Sunday bulletin, but some groups study a book of the Bible or another curriculum.

Tell me a bit more

Those are the facts about what a Life Group IS, but let’s get down to the heart of the matter. Groups are about a lot more than weekly get-togethers. They’re about community. We hope that groups will be places of friendship, encouragement, laughter and support through life’s challenges - and that they will be places where members will serve together, loving and blessing our city.

Our dream is that group members will work together to apply what they learn from the Bible to everyday life and will challenge each other to move forward on their spiritual journey. That's what Life Groups are really all about.

Life Groups meet during the school year (September – May).
