MIDDLE SCHOOL – 6th-8th Grade

Our ministry is designed to help students from any background take the next step in their journey toward Christ. Middle School is a time of significant changes in almost all areas of life and we desire to create a place for students to feel safe and cared for.

EAT THIS BOOK CHALLENGE
This year, we have a goal that leaders, parents and students would engage with God’s Word on a regular basis. To help accomplish this goal, we’re introducing the Eat This Book Challenge! Each week there will be a Bible story to read – it might be a familiar story, or it might be one you’ve never read before. Here is the schedule of stories for the whole school year.

HOME GROUPS
We believe that spiritual growth happens best in a small group setting, where students can focus on connecting with God, each other and the community. Home Groups meet in local homes on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:45 pm, except for the first week of each month (see below). Within these home groups, our goal is to break into groups of 4-5 students per adult leader for discussion.

FIRST WEDNESDAYS
On the first Wednesday of each month, all Home Groups meet together at Blackhawk Brader Way for a large group event. Our goal for this time is to experience God together as a community through a variety of activities such as teaching, discussions, games, eating together and interactive learning. Next First Wednesday: February 1.

STUDENT LEADERS
During the school year, the student servant leadership team meets once a month to help plan the ministry. Applications are available in September for the upcoming school year.
