In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, “Go into all the WORLD and proclaim the good news to all creation.” Sharing the love of Christ with a world in great need—this is central to the mission of Blackhawk Church. The task is overwhelming, but we are not called to do it all. We are to join hands with believers around the world who take Jesus’ words seriously. Blackhawk currently supports full-time missionaries in many parts of the world and is sending out a growing number of short-term teams each year.

Our current focus is on developing and sending missionaries to places where people have yet to hear the Good News of the Gospel. We seek to establish close working relationships with our missionaries and partner with them in the task of reaching the least-reached for Christ.

We also have a desire to involve as many Blackhawk attendees as possible in short-term missions trips, so that we can all grow in our understanding of different cultures and our love and concern for those who do not know Christ, in all parts of the world.

The Missions Team is looking for people who want to use their God-given gifts to serve our church and missionaries—no overseas experience is necessary. Join us in service to our Lord, who commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” If you would like to attend our next Missions Team meeting, contact Fred Grossenbach. The Missions Team is divided into sub-teams, each with a different area of responsibility. These include: Short-term Missions, Long-term Missions Support, Education and Training, and Campus Missions. We can find a place for you to serve that fits your interests and gifting!
