In Search of the Real Jesus — A look at the historical accuracy of The Da Vinci Code and The Passion

This seminar was held at Blackhawk on May 8, 2004, with speaker Dr. Ben Witherington, III, Professor of New Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary. Notes are available from Dr. Witherington’s talk. Tapes can be ordered from the tape cart in the lobby at church. MP3 audio files can also be downloaded to hear Dr. Witherington's talks on The Passion or The Da Vinci Code.

Dr. Witherington was interviewed by Peter Jennings for a special ABC News presentation, Jesus and Paul – the Word and the Witness. He has written 15 books and six commentaries. His latest book, The Gospel Code, (published by IVP) was written in response to The Da Vinci Code. Two of his books, including The Jesus Quest: The Third Search for the Jew of Nazareth (1995), have been selected as the top Biblical studies book of the year by Christianity Today.
