As a local church, we believe we are to be a blessing not only to our city, but to communities across the nation and around the world. Blackhawk supports long-term Global and National Servants, builds Global and National Partnerships, and sends GO Teams to come alongside the goals of our partners.
**2021 GO Teams Announcement**
As a church, we have made the decision to cancel GO Teams for the 2021 season. This was a difficult decision that was not made lightly. Due to COVID-19 concerns both in the US and globally, we believe this is the wisest decision for both our members and our partners. We remain deeply committed to our ongoing partnerships, and will continue to invest in these relationships in the absence of GO Teams. If you have any questions, please email globalimpact@blackhawkchurch.org.
Global and National Servants
Blackhawk currently supports over 40 Global and National Servants who live in the U.S. and across the world. Global Servants serve in a variety of capacities – discipleship training, church planting, immigrant outreach, environmental initiatives, community development, medical training, and more. Many of our National Servants live in Madison, serving on the UW-Madison campus or in supportive roles with organizations. These individuals are members of Blackhawk and are significantly involved in various ministries within the church. We also support several former members of Blackhawk who are involved in ministry in other parts of the country.

We desire to build partnerships that are mutually beneficial, equally transformational and intentionally missional as we together reach communities for Christ through word and deed.
Bolivia
- Food for the Hungry
Food for the Hungry is a Christian organization seeking to end all forms of human poverty by going into the hard places and closely walking with the world’s most vulnerable people. They have been working in Bolivia since 1978. Chronic malnutrition is a primary concern in Bolivia, especially for children. One of the ways Food for the Hungry addresses this is through the construction of neighborhood nutritional centers. At these nutrition centers, Food for the Hungry staff will work with expectant mothers and families with young children by providing cooking classes, basic health and nutrition attention, and nutritional counseling. Blackhawk has been invited by Food for the Hungry to come alongside the community of Lajastambo in Bolivia. We are aligned with Food for the Hungry to engage relationally with people in the community of Lajastambo through short-term teams and child sponsorship. When church members take part in child sponsorship, they are enabling Food for the Hungry staff to make regular home visits with parents and advise them on meeting their children’s physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
